Just got back from the Strand Pop-Up lots-of-rare-books-but-mostly-fun-cheap-out-of-print-stuff shop at Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Thrift Shop (by way of the GRE). While I didn’t get any of the really fancy stuff, I did get a first edition copy of Richard Wright’s The Outsider, histories of the Hudson River and of each bridge of Central Park, and a $3 copy of A Streetcar Named Desire with that sexy sexy Brando cover.
